Lucinda Cannon

Lucinda Samford Cannon is a native and lifelong resident of Opelika, Alabama. After attending Wesleyan College in Macon, GA, she was awarded a BS and a MEd from Auburn University. She is retired from a career in commercial real estate sales and subdivision development. However, she continues to teach classes in real estate. Lucinda is a member of the Huntingdon College Board of Trustees and the Duke Divinity Board of Visitors. On the United Methodist Conference level, she sits on the Council of Finance and Administration. She is locally involved on the Opelika Planning Commission, the East Alabama Medical Center Board, and the Southern States Bank Board. She is president of the W. James Samford, Jr. Foundation.
Lucinda is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Opelika. She has one son, Race, who is married to Heather, as well as, a granddaughter and three grandsons.
