John Ed used on the front page of the bulletin each week to write a specific message. Each of these books contains 129 of these weekly messages. Every Member In Ministry is a book developed for Discipleship Resources of the United Methodist Church, which outlines the principles for an understanding that every member of the church is a minister. It is a practical book that indicates how a church can incorporate more people into ministry. While the average church has 20% of the people doing 80% of the work-the 80/20 principle, this book is intended to help reverse that principle. Using this book as a model for ministry, Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church had in the 90% range of its members involved in specific ministries. It also contains a section on how to deal with inactive members. This book is available for $6 + postage.

Tried & True
Tried & True is a book developed for the Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church. It outlines 12 steps of growth for any local church. It is the model employed by Frazer that grew from 400 members to over 8,800 members. It contains an understanding of the planning process in which every church should be engaged-called the Joel Committee at Frazer. It offers practical instruments and ideas to help facilitate growth. Tried & True is available for $10 + postage.

Treasures of the Transformed Life

Treasured of the Transformed Life was developed for the United Methodist Publishing House. It is a part of an overall stewardship program that can be ordered through Cokesbury. It is being used by churches throughout the United States. Many of them are finding that the use of this entire study has more than doubled the number of people who have volunteered to serve in the life of the church and every response has indicated an increase in financial giving-some have even experienced a doubling of their budget.
